Miss Serenity missed the break again a little but in reality wasn’t good enough even if she had made it okay. She travelled up and found absolutely nothing again when properly asked. One to avoid till they figure out the trip for her.

Chepstow

4:00 Nathan – Finally gets his return to the ground I think he wants, good ground with a little cut. He’s on a very handy mark of 89 and had 2 runs this year, one on the all weather and one on fast ground which wouldn’t have been for him. He steps back from 12f to 10f which I think may suit him. If he finds last years form he will be very difficult to beat of this mark in this field.

Nathan 3/1 Various 2 Point Win.

Kempton

6:10 Bhodi – has all the hallmarks of a Sir Michael Stoute 3 year old Maiden/Novice winner. First 2 starts over 6f and 7f now takes a step up to 1 Mile. He has a cracking Niarchos pedigree and out of a Giants Causeway mare the step to 1 Mile Looks sure to suit. I can forgive his last run on good to soft ground, especially the fact he’s now going to the All Weather is a positive for me. Oisin Murphy does well with Stoute runner and well at Kempton. I think he’s massively over priced and could run a place minimum.

Bhodi 16/1 Various. 1 Point Each way.

Pontefract

2:50 Swiss Connection – Ran really well in his first 2 starts finishing 5th on debut and 2nd last time out at Newcastle. He looked to bump into a nice winner at Newcastle and I expect him to go very close here. It doesn’t look the strongest of Novice races even though there is a previous winner in the race I think Swiss Connection will be hard to beat.

Swiss Connection 13/2 Various 2 Point Win

Sligo

5:30 Specific Gravity – a old friend for us on here. The 10 year old has been a great servant for connections and always try’s his heart out. He’s been falling down the handicap and now in grade which I think could be the key to him getting his head back in front. A small drop in trip should see him do his best work at the end, if he’s only a couple lengths off the lead he will have a real chance.

Specific Gravity 8/1 Betvictor 2 Point Win

Last day wasn’t great Rhododendron and Berbagazi running no sort of races at all both finishing down the field.

Newbury

1:45 Miss Serenity – Ran a eye catching debut at Newmarket in a pretty good race over a furlong further than today. She looked to shape well and just get tired inside the final half furlong so this drop to 6f should help her. Hugo Palmers horse’s usually take a step forward from their debut run but this is a race where she won’t have to improve too much to break her maiden tag. Josie Gordon takes the ride which for me is a positive as I really rate her as a jockey.

What a start to the month with 2 winners on day one. Fantasy ran a decent enough race at the price and just looked around a little in the business end she’s one to watch going forward for G3 races. Valseur Lido Like Fantasy was plenty of money for and travelled well but just isn’t himself at all and could well be finished. King Of Tonga came with a late rattle to win at 5/1 when drifting from 4/1. I’ve put him in a tracker as he will improve loads and step up in trip should help him improve. History Writer showed the improvement and a nice performance to win at 15/2 drifting from 9/2 which I won’t complain about, he hit the front rather green and found his stride to win by a couple lengths.

Ffos Las

5:30 Barbegazi – I have been watching this colt on his first 3 starts after his write up in the 2yo Taplin book. Now he’s in a handicap of a mark of 57 this has to be completely up his street and a real chance of winning. It’s a very weak race and is over priced. I’m willing to give him another chance as a two year old see how he can improve.

Barbegazi 16/1 Ladbrokes 1 Point Each Way

Goodwood

3:35 Rhododendron – completely putting a line through her last run and the worry of the virus in yard as all his have ran well this week so far and must be scoping clear. She won G1 at 2,3 and 4 with her latest in the Lockinge this year. She’s very high class and I believe she would have won the Sussex if she ran there. She will appreciate the extra distance and back amongst her own sex should see her back in the winners enclosure.

Well I make my return to full time blogging and tipping on a daily basis. I’ve been with a site for the last 9 months and working in the background in some other projects but still well and truly kept in touch with racing. I will be posting best bets here everyday before 8am and sometimes the night before. I will be providing the same content as before.

free selections on selected races

Staking plan

Updated P/L and Review of day before

Ante post pointers.

Interaction and feedback of readers on their selections

Also if you want me to look at cards for a days racing I can provide selections with a days notice or so.

I will post link into my timeline and will try and cover big meetings in the future where I will comprehensively cover every race.

All I ask is once you read give it a retweet and let’s all make some money from the bookies.

Oh and loads of spelling and punctuation mistakes but it’s the winners that count.

Galway

7:20 Valseur Lido a cliff horse for me but I think the break after finishing 8th in the grand national will have done him well and hopefully see the old Valseur lido back. He’s been dropped to a mark of 153 from a high of 169 which gives him plenty of scope of victory if finding his old spark and Henry De bromhead hopefully in much better form than last season.

Valseur Lido 33/1 hills 2 Points Each way 5 places.

Goodwood

3:00 Fantasy – I think she’s vastly overpriced here and has been improving with each run. She drops back to 5f and I think that is what she needs. Aidan does have a slight concern about a virus in the barn so I am going to keep Stakes small with her although some have bombed out some have run well enough according to their price. They have always thought she would be a nice type and I am hoping she can hit the frame.

Fantasy 20/1 Bet 365 1 Point Each way.

Sandown

7:30 History Writer – Trainer is in red hot form recently which is a great sign and Is very unexposed. His form stacks up well and this is a very open race. I think a mark of 85 can be well in his capabilities to go up the grades from here. A repeat of his Notts run will see him win and ground isn’t a problem to him.

History Writer 9/2 Ladbrokes 2 Point Win

Redcar

2:10 King Of Tonga – Was extremely well backed on debut at Beverley from 4/1 to 9/4 and defeat looked out of the question even against a odds on favourite which duly obliged. The first 3 pulled well clear of the rest that day and I expect this lad to improve for that run and break his maiden tag.

King of Tonga 4/1 Various 2 Point Win.

24/2/18

One Non Runner on Friday and a second gave a 2 Point loss on the day.

Fairyhouse

3:30 Mala Beach- rated 156 which is 6 clear of the field. He also gets 8lb from bellshill and 6 from the rest putting Mala Beach 14lb and 12lb well in against the field. I can’t believe how he isn’t favourite when I am writing this (now 6/4 from 5/2)

Mala Beach 3 point win 6/4 various

Kempton

3:00 Humphrey Bogart – Makes his long awaited debut over hurdles for Nicky Henderson who usually sends some of his good ones to this race. He was a group class animal on the flat placing in G2 & G3 while winning the listed derby trial at Lingfield.

Humphrey Bogart 9/1 2 Point Each way

23/02/18

First blog selections coming after ending last year with healthy profit. Going to try and get a blog out everyday again.

Lingfield

2:45 Porto Ferro – Much more encouraging run last time out when finishing 3rd at Kempton over 6 furlongs. Now on a career low mark of 57 and looking to take advantage of that. Her only win came over course and distance of a mark of 72. Dwelt our the stalls last time out and was bustled along to make up the ground. She got tired in last half furlong.

Porto ferro 6/1 2 Point Win Various.

3:50 Mickey – finally Tom Dascombe has went to head gear and puts a visor on. He’s looked as if he’s needed that last couple of runs. He’s very lightly raced and wasn’t beat last time out in a 4 way photo. The Visor should help him run all the way to the line when he is getting lonely.

Mickey 6/1 2 Point Win various.

Friday 15th Of December

I have been away for a while with work and other personal things taking up all my time I’ve not really had time to blog along with my other projects. will post my blog at around 10am each day.

Cheltenham

1:55 Theatre Territory – Made her chase debut at Huntington in November when 2nd to Casablanca Mix by 12 Lengths but still gave a good account of herself. A mark of 125 looks more than reasonable to get off the mark over fences. Trip and ground look fine for her to go close here.

Theatre Territory 4/1 Ladbrokes 2 Point Win.

3:40 The Dutchman – backed him last time out when he was a distant second to Sam Spinner in the Grade 2 at Haydock. He was the last one to lay it down to the impressive winner but was no match for him. He soundly beat Champers On ice and should do so again if both running to the same form. Ground and trip is ideal for him.

The Dutchman 5/1 Skybet 3 Point Win.

Doncaster

1:35 Value At Risk – Comes here In good form if can put the last run behind him on Heavy ground which looked to put paid to his chances. His run behind Unowhatimeanharry is by far the best form in the race. If he can produce that kind of run of 140 on much better ground he will be difficult to see out the first 3.

Value at Risk 7/1 Coral 2 Point Each Way.

13th Of October

Friday the 13th as you all say is bad luck but 13 is my lucky number. Some excellent racing on the day headed by the G1 fillies Mile at Newmarket.  I have decided to also join Tipstrr which is a sight I can log all bets. They have a setup between 1-10 so there 10 will be 5 for us on here. They will email every selection I put so nobody misses any selections. Blog will continue here for reasoning behind each selection.

Dundalk

8:00 Long Island Sound – comes here after a tame comeback behind War Decree and was never in it. He will come on masses for that run and anything close to his highest mark of 111 would put him a easy winner of this race.  He’s a massive price on that form and should win here.

Long Island Sound 11/2 Coral 2 Point win

Newmarket

2:25 I Can Fly – She comes here on the back of a impressive debut at Dundalk where she was backed all day as if defeat is out of the question. Well it seems they are now backing her the same way, was 6/1 earlier today now into as short as 10/3 in places. She won her maiden by 4L easily at Dundalk just sitting of the pace coming with a run at the rail, hands and heels to push her out but was very easy on her. 7f looked ideal and looks a special filly.

I can fly 4/1 Bet365 3 Point win

5:20 Crimson Rock – a lovely 3 Year old type who’s only had one start and won on debut in a nice maiden at Newbury over 1Mile. She got up at the line and will Appreciate the step up to 1m2f. She will be one to follow after this race as well. I have her down as going to be top class. She’s from a great family and could have went to easier targets on return.

12th Of October

Another day of 2nd places makes October still a winless month but not to worry loads of time to turn it round will give myself a few more days to see if my luck will change.

Aye

4:05 Traditional Dancer – now this is a trappy race but think Iain Jardine is a master of winning races with these types of horses. He’s got 7lb claimer Jamie Gormley on with ground at Ayr being heavy this will help his chances a lot, he doesn’t mind ground at all and this seems the perfect opening to get off the mark on the flat

Traditional dancer 6/1 Skybet 3 Point win

Chelmsford

7:15 Boynton – A big strapping horse at 2 year old which looked he would improve loads as a 3 year old. He’s the highest rated in the field and escape the Group 2 penalty and gets weight from the field. He’s the perfect profile for a race like this.
Boynton 5/4 Ladbrokes 5 Point win

11th of October

October hasn’t been going great so far but plenty time to turn that around. National hunt is coming back around giving me more of a option each day.
Gowran

1:50 Giuseppe Garibaldi – is a 2 year old I’ve been waiting on making an appearance at a racecourse. He’s by champion sire Galileo out of a Danehill Dancer mare called Queenscliff whose a sister to Caribbean Sunset and Ice Queen. He has a Derby Entry like most of Aidan’s but was mentioned a few times on stable tours that got me excited.

Giuseppe Garibaldi 7/2 Paddy Power 2 Point win

Kempton

7:25 Airway – A 3 year old Gelding for James Fanshawe takes this step up in trip on his third start of his career. He beat Ennjaaz on his last start and that colt came out and boosted the form by winning next time out. A mark of 83 with George Wood taking another 3 off is more than a winning mark for the improving son of Poets Voice.

Airway 5/1 Bet365 2 Point win

7:55 Blue De Vega – Starts his career with Robert Cowell after being with Michael O’Callaghan for the start of his career. He’s a awesome horse who looks as if the change of scenery will help him. He’s top rated in the field 105, he is getting weight from his biggest rival in the beting who’s also rathed 105. A drop to 6f could also help him with the sprint king Cowell now taking control of his career.

Blue De Vega 10/3 Bet365 2 Point win

Nottingham

2:50 Sam Gold – This is one I’ve put up on both runs so far and he was very unlucky not to win the last time. He opened at 9/1 and got smashed into 7/2 Favourite where he lost by a head when running green and finishing fast. Andrea Atzeni takes over in the saddle and will hopefully get him settled early. The step up to 1 Mile should help him out also.

Sam Gold 11/4 Ladbrokes 5 Point win
